About Mainbrace

At Mainbrace, we care about our clients, people, projects, community, and planet – and we strive to create value and impact in a way that is authentic, responsible, sustainable, and meaningful. We believe that by working together towards common goals and values, we can make a positive difference and contribute to a brighter future for all.

As Australia’s leading and most experienced retail builder, we do more than create inspired retail experiences. We build from the ground up, we know how to keep a live site trading and we know how to keep costs down – all while making sure you open on time. We constantly challenge and question processes, tools and techniques to ensure we get the best outcome for your project and our business.

At Mainbrace, it’s never just one project. It’s the beginning of a positive working relationship that always puts the project’s needs first.

Our Values

We’re in the business of building positive working relationships with all stakeholders. Known for being easy to deal with, we have developed a trusted network of partners who share and support our core values.

Teamwork, integrity, leadership and excellence; we believe everybody should have the opportunity for success. These foundations help harness the best of every individual to maintain a friendly, proactive and easy to deal with culture.

We don’t want to be the biggest. For us, it comes down to making sure we do it right every time. Our stability and shared knowledge allow us to aim higher and continue to exceed expectations for our people, and our clients.

WE ALWAYS
DELIVER ON
A PROMISE

Our Clients

Our clients range from small businesses to large corporates, and include virtually every major retailer in Australia.

We take pride in developing lasting partnerships with our clients and ensure that we deliver every time. We’re confident you could call any of our clients, and they’ll tell you a positive story about their Mainbrace project.

Mainbrace is a world class operator. They are happy to sit down from day one and plan things to come up with a strategy to save you money in the long run, and to get the product on the ground on time.

How we work

We listen, we understand, and we deliver.

Delivering your project on time and on budget is an expectation. But for us, it’s more than that. We build long-lasting relationships and become a partner you can depend on. We take the time to listen and understand your needs, helping you to achieve your goals and succeed

Mainbrace approached each decision with the client’s best interest in mind, quite often going over and above what was contractually required to ensure the best outcome for all stakeholders.

Financial Performance

Stability in a volatile industry

Our conservative approach and financial discipline means we have never had to rely on debt or overdraft facilities to run our business. Every project is underpinned by sufficient capital, thanks to our strong, straightforward balance sheet.

EVERYONE DESERVES
TO GO HOME SAFELY

Health & Safety

The health and safety of people are paramount.

A strong safety culture starts from the top. So our leaders play an active role safety management at Mainbrace. We take our responsibility to keep everyone safe seriously and work hard to minimise any impact during construction.

With over 30 years of practical site experience, our HSEQ team then provides workplace health and safety advice, support and guidance to our teams, subcontractors and clients. They conduct planned and spontaneous site audits, and assists in developing policies and procedures.

Our Workplace Health and Safety systems are certified to AS/NZS ISO 4801:2001 and they are independently audited and certified every year.

Sustainability underpins all our futures.

When building community spaces for the future, we take our environmental responsibilities seriously. Our systems are certified to AS/NZS ISO 14001:2015 and audited each year, ensuring every project rigorously assesses its risks and impact on the local environment.

Having built Australia’s first 5 star green star shopping center, we are across sustainable construction practices. Our teams maintain their credentials and we align with industry experts to ensure we can offer this service as required.

Construction waste is a major impact from our industry. We focus all our teams on waste reduction and work with our trades to minimize, re-use and recycle. We equally bring this commitment into our offices – regularly measuring water and energy consumption and waste management; implementing new tactics to minimise our footprint each year.

Uncompromised quality is at the heart of our work.

Check lists, hold points and ITP’s. We found traditional systems struggle to work effectively. They are often a hastily filled in compliance after thought. We’ve built our quality management practices in house, to deliver without adding complex and time-wasting duplicate reviews and checklists. The result is both logical and efficient – and you can be assured it is also fully certified to meet AS/NZS ISO 9001:2015.

Defect free completion is the goal. Quality checking starts day one. Better to get it right up front, than to come back and fix it later. Proactively sorting through details, design and specification never stop.

We consistently raise the benchmark on our work practices to improve efficiency and effectively manage risk without compromising the outcome.

Through all the complexities of the project whether large or small, they used their vast retail experience to find a solution for our advantage. As the operator, we believe their skills have added significant value to our business.
