News | Helicopters at Costco, Moorabbin

Last week at Costco, Moorabbin, Mainbrace employed a helicopter to do the heavy lifting. We needed to get PAC air-conditioning units on the roof. Each unit weighed approximately a tonne each. Usually these units would be placed on the roof by a crane, however, Costco Moorabbin is located next to an airport and using a crane would have put us into restricted airspace. The only way to get them on the roof safely was to use a helicopter, that way the pilot could stay in constant contact with the airport tower in case of an emergency plane landings or take offs.
